I want to warmly welcome all our new and incoming students to the Department of Civil Engineering on behalf of my    colleagues and I. At the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Technology, University of Ibadan, I would like to say that “we build minds and lives.”

The Department open her students to new experiences in major area of Civil Engineering namely; Structural and Materials Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Highway and Transportation Engineering, and Water and Environmental Engineering, Public Health Engineering. 

All the academic year are unique with innovations in teaching and researches by the faculties. Students are exposed to hands-on practicals and Outcome Based Engineering. Challenging assignments and teamwork activities of the Department develops her students’ range of varying skills, competencies, knowledge and abilities. 

The graduates of the Department are making diverse contribution in the society globally and also, we are ready to welcome intended applicants for a life changing experience into the Department.
