(Civil Engineering).  The course shall normally last eighteen months, that is three semester of full-time registration. (ii)           Candidates for admission shall normally be graduates of this University or of any other approved university recognized by Senate.   (iii)          All candidates shall complete their registration formalities at the beginning of the first semester.   (iv)         Candidates shall be required to take an approved combination of 700 level courses as Senate, on the recommendation of the Board of the Postgraduate School may determine from time to time.   (v)          Candidates shall be required normally to take examinations at the end of the semester in which a course is taught.  Candidates shall be credited with the number of course units assigned to the courses that they have passed.   (vi)         The workload of each course shall be evaluated in terms of course units.  A course unit is defined as either a series of 15 one-hour lectures/ seminars/ case discussions or an equivalent amount of other assigned study or a series of 15 three-hour laboratory classes or field work.   (vii)        Candidates shall be required to register for a minimum of 16 and maximum of 24 units.   (viii)       Appropriate pre-requisites, concurrent and/ or relevant course may be prescribed.   (ix)         For the award of the degree, a candidate shall be required to pass not less than 31 units including all compulsory courses.   (x)          The mode of examination shall be through written examination in all the courses taken, continuous assessment and oral examination.   (xi)         Candidates must also satisfy the general requirements of the Postgraduate School, University of Ibadan.             Professional Postgraduate Programme: (MCPM) Masters in Construction Project Management   Entry Requirement Admission to the Master of Science programme in construction project management is open to graduates of the University of Ibadan and higher educational institutions recognised by the University’s senate with a minimum of Second Class Degree (Lower Division) in a relevant subject area such as Architecture, Engineering, Surveying and Building Technology and at least two years work experience. Applications may be considered from candidates with Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Lower credit and at least four years experience in the construction industry at management level Registration with professional bodies at corporate or chartered status e.g. MNSE, MNIOB, MNIEVS or MNIA will be an added advantage.     Duration The duration of the programme shall a minimum of three semesters of full-time study or five semesters of part-time academic work   Graduation Requirements Same as Academic Postgraduate Programme above  Registration:       Same as Academic Postgraduate Programme above    Further information on postgraduate programmes can be obtain from the PG coordinator:   Dr. Ayininuola G.M +234 (0) 8056131662 or +234 (0) 7062382942 gm.ayinjnuola@mail.ui.edu.ng or ayigbenga@gmail.com
